Chlorella

Description

Chlorella appears on earth 1,5 to 2 billion years ago. It naturally grows in lakes and pond all over the world.
Chlorella size is comprised between 2 and 10 microns, which smaller that a red blood cell. It shows a green color and a round shape at microscopic examination.

Composition

Chlorella differs from other plants by its exceptional chlorophyll concentration.
Harvesting chlorella in bad conditions could cause contamination by heavy metals. NUWEN guarantees a total heavy metals amount lower than 20 ppm.

Properties

Chlorella is a polyvalent active and could be used in various ways in your formulas:
• Anti-pollution active: chlorella is well known for its natural detoxifying effect. The structure and composition of its cellular
wall (tri layer, rich in chitin and cellulose), allows it to catch and eliminate pollutants, especially heavy metals (Arsenic, Lead…)
• Natural green pigment: the coloring property of chlorella is directly linked to its chlorophyll high content
