Description

Cyanobacteria represents a kingdom at the crossroads between animal and plant kingdoms. Spirulina is a multicellular cyanobacteria, which shows a specific microscopic spiral shape.

Composition

Spirulina is considered as a “super-food” in food and nutraceuticals applications, as it contains more than 60 essentials nutritive substances.
It contains especially high levels of vitamins and amino-acids that are easily assimilable by human body.
Spirulina is also a major ally to boost all skin types.

Properties

Spirulina is a polyvalent active and could be used in various ways in your formulas:
• Anti-ageing and fortifying active: spirulina stimulates cell renewal. Its richness in anti-oxidant molecules helps to reduce the
formation of free radicals, and therefore helps to prevent skin ageing.
• Natural blue-green pigment: spirulina is the unique natural blue pigment authorized by European food regulation. This blue green
coloring property is directly linked to spirulina phycocyanin (blue pigment) high content.
