Description
Chondrus crispus, commonly known as Irish moss, carrageenan or white wrack is a red seaweed of the Rhodophyceae family that can grow up to 10 to 20 cm long. This seaweed is harvested by hand, at low tide, from May to October.
Applications: tablet, capsule and sachet
Composition
On average, more than 30 % of the dry weight of lichen is composed of carrageenan ! It also contains interesting levels of carbohydrates, lipids and minerals.
