Chondrus150 S is a clean-label texturizing which has both nutritional and functional properties.
Suitable for:
Chondrus150 S is a mixture of a starch and a wild alga (Chondrus crispus) with nutritional functional properties. It is both rich in fibers and minerals, and also has a texturizing power. The carrageenans of Chondrus crispus provide the necessary gelled texture, while the starch brings binding and smoothness to this texture.
These two ingredients work in synergy: the viscosity provided by Chondrus150 S is not the mere some of the viscosities provided by the starch and the Chondrus crispus, but the multiplication by 3 or even 12 of the viscosity provided by the Chondrus crispus alone depending on the type of preparation.
The ingredient is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. It is particularly recommended for savoury or sweet vegetable preparations.
